Mr. Prof. Dr. Ing. Hans-Jürgen Krautz
Prof. Krautz studied thermal and hydraulic mechanical engineering, first in the 1970s at the University of Technology in Dresden, and in the 1980s at the Institute for Power Plant Technology of the University of Zittau
At the end of the 1980s, after Germany’s reunification, he gained practical experience in the private economy, first as project manager in the ORGREB-Institute of Powerplants (now Dornier GmbH) and also as project manager with VEAG Berlin (now LEAG/EPH AG).
Starting from 1996, Prof. Krautz worked for 23 years as the first Head of the Chair of Power Plant Technology at the University of Technology Brandenburg Cottbus – Senftenberg (BTU). During this time, he taught thousands of students, conducted extensive scientific research, and raised and coordinated several research projects every year. Focus of his advisory work was business consulting in the field of energy / power plant and storage technologies.
Presently, he is responsible for coordinating “Durch2atmen” – the hydrogen network of Germany’s Lusetia region, and is Managing Director of CEBra – Centre for Energy Technology Brandenburg GmbH Cottbus, Germany.
